An enterprise client developing a high-speed data product required a dedicated, high-capacity internet connection. Their office location demanded a 10 Gbps Point-to-Point (PTP) wireless backhaul solution to ensure sufficient bandwidth and low latency for their product validation.
To overcome these constraints, we engineered a dual-link PTP wireless solution:
Link 1 connected from one our our major POPs and terminated at a strategically placed midway point
Link 2 extended from this midway point directly to the client’s office
By combining these two links, we created a seamless 10 Gbps transport circuit, delivering high-speed connectivity to the client’s data center without compromising reliablity.
The primary challenge was delivering a stable, dedicated 1 Gbps PTP link across a considerable distance. The client’s office was located 11 miles away from the nearest point of presence (POP), with limited infrastructure along the route to support traditional high capacity fiber connectivity
The deployment delivered a dedicated, symmetrical 10 Gbps PTP link with consistent performance. Covering approximately 11 miles over the air, the solution achieved a latency of under 10ms, meeting the client’s requirements for low-latency, high-bandwidth internet transport and enabling effective validation of their product.
